SPARK Hired for Taco Boy Grand Opening

Beloved restaurant selects local agency to manage public relations for opening of Charlotte location

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Jan. 2, 2024) – Taco Boy, a Charleston-based restaurant serving Mexican-inspired food, has hired SPARK Strategic Ideas, a full-service strategic branding agency, to assist with media relations and event support surrounding the grand opening of their first location in Charlotte.

Established in 2006 by Karalee Nielsen Fallert, Taco Boy will bring its scratch-made Mexican-inspired cuisine, refreshing drinks and warm service to the heart of the Queen City. Taco Boy embodies a philosophy of hospitality centered on openhearted kindness, respect and mutual care. Committed to purpose and generosity, Taco Boy aims to provide an inviting space for the community to come together, enjoy delicious food and create lasting memories. The Charlotte opening marks the sixth Taco Boy location in the Carolinas.

SPARK was brought on to provide local public relations and event planning services for the January 2024 grand opening of the restaurant in Charlotte’s LoSo neighborhood. In addition to building brand awareness with local media and influencers and coordinating on-site interviews, SPARK also will plan and execute two media events, including a sneak preview and an opening party. After opening, SPARK will provide ongoing media relations to keep the brand buzz going in Charlotte.

“We are thrilled to work with the team at Taco Boy to help introduce the fan-favorite restaurant to the Charlotte community,” said Pollyanna Falk, vice president of account service and public relations at SPARK. “With such a loyal existing follower base, Taco Boy is sure to be a hit here; and I can’t wait to see the party get started!”
