Agency leads local PR efforts for new regional destination
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Feb. 19, 2015) — Cabela’s Incorporated, the World’s Foremost Outfitter® of hunting, fishing and outdoor gear, recently hired SPARK Strategic Ideas (SPARK) to partner with public relations efforts for its new store opening in Fort Mill, S.C. The 104,000-square-foot store, located along Interstate 77, is scheduled to open March 12, 2015.

The Fort Mill store will be Cabela’s second location in South Carolina and will feature museum-quality wildlife displays, an indoor archery range, mountain replica, aquarium and thousands of hunting, fishing and other high-quality outdoor products.

SPARK has managed a number of grand opening events from restaurants to retail locations, most noteworthy the new SEA LIFE Charlotte-Concord Aquarium at Concord Mills. Based on the amount of media coverage, SEA LIFE’s parent company, Merlin Entertainments, dubbed the launch campaign one of the most successful attraction openings to-date and adopted the SEA LIFE Charlotte-Concord opening as a “best practice” for all future openings of the brand. Other grand openings managed by SPARK include multiple locations of Moe’s Southwest Grill, Hubee D’s, Smashburger, Block & Grinder, Central Coffee, The Improper Pig and more.
